Central collective agreement

Your collective agreement sets out your rights and responsibilities at work.  In Ontario, the central collective agreement is bargained on behalf of all OSBCU members, and includes wages, benefits, and pensions.  As well, once the central collective agreement is completed, each school board negotiates their own local collective agreement which addresses issues specific to workers in that school board.

If you are having an issue at work and feel that the collective agreement is not being followed, contact your local.

Bylaws and policies

Our bylaws set out the democratic structure that we run by.

Benefits

Benefits for OSBCU members are provided through the CUPE Education Workers' Benefits Trust (EWBT).  Benefits are bargained in the collective agreement, and OSBCU has representatives on the Trust to make sure they are delivered fairly to all members.

Pensions

Pensions for CUPE members working in Ontario schools are bargained as part of the central collective agreement and are provided through the OMERS pension plan.
