‘Who’s going to take the lead?’ Will Headwaters hospital be one of the province’s new healthcare hubs?

The provincial government announced a massive overhaul of Ontario’s healthcare system, eliminating the Local Health Integration Networks (LHINS) and attempting to improve connections between health agencies.

While some critics have voiced concerns about a lack of details around the plan, Headwaters Health Care Centre CAO Stacey Daub is taking an optimistic approach.

“Our community is extremely well-positioned to work together to create a more integrated health care system,” she said, noting that Orangeville’s hospital, along with other agencies in town, are well connected already.
